Week 4 Post 1

The set I decided to go with was Subway and Hungry Bear. Starting with Subway, from what I can see, Subway's target market is more towards young ages going up to mature adult. Even though subway can accommodate to any age, it does seem to change their menu based on what the younger generations favorites tend to be. Now, looking at Hungry Bear's menu, I would say their target market are probably people that love a more old fashioned sandwiches and people that love BBQ. I would say for the most part they target older people and people who love sports.

One obvious difference I found between the two businesses is that Subway is worldwide where Hungry Bear is really only in a small part of California. A smaller difference would be Subway sells more healthier choices of food compared to Hungry Bear. Hungry Bear does sell salads but the rest of their menu isn't that healthy. The similarity I could point out is that both businesses can attract all ages no matter what their target market is. Another similarity is their design of the website. Subway and Hungry Bear both seem to use the same font and green color for their design.

When it comes to website design, both are great attracting website. Subway does a great job putting pictures of their foods everywhere on the website making any viewer hungry. Although Hungry Bear does an excellent job with the theme design. For example, their website has a woodsy scratched up border around their photos giving the whole website a unique look to it. I do think both businesses send the same message. They both want to be everyones favorite deli shop.
