Week 8: Visual Media Blog Post Part One

For my business, Travel Guardian, visual media helps a lot to reach potential customers. My target market spends a lot of time on the internet and social media's especially travel blogs. Visual media helps bring my business to their hands faster and easier. Visual media also helps because my business is an online service.      When it comes to Instagram, I use hashtags that fits with the image to reach out to potential customers. For example, I have been posting places that were filmed for popular Halloween movies, considering it's October. I use hashtags to fit that image like, #Halloween, #Spookyseason, #October, #Halloweentown, and many more. I do try to not use a lot of hashtags so it won't overwhelm the post. How Similar Businesses Use Instagram Hashtags: Smart Flyer: Smart Flyer is a smaller travel agency but they are a successful business. Looking at their instagram I see that their account is popular with 30k followers. They also post almost da...

Week 7: Get Visual

Instagrams I Liked and Commented On:  Isabella Brown:  @theartjive_ Julia Palomo: @juliasdessertscsit2020 Heather Williams: @healtherwilliamshome.life.style How Businesses Use Instagram:     I believe businesses use Instagram to promote themselves. Almost everyone has Instagram these days and people spend more time browsing instagram than browsing the internet. Businesses can use Instagram by attracting people through entertaining and aesthetic posts, hashtags, mini videos, and stories. You can also use the live option to interact with followers and customers. Instagram is a good use to promote your business and interact with your customers easily.

Week 6 Part 2

For my scheduled posts I decided to use a Halloween theme. Sense it is October I think it would be fun and engaging to post content that evolves around Halloween sense everyone is into the Spooky Season.      For one of my posts I have a post with Halloween themed covid masks to show that my company is aware and supportive of the uses of masks and we wanted it to at least put a smile on our customers face by the Halloween theme.     The other two posts have more to do with the purpose of my company. Sense the most two popular Halloween movies are Hocus Pocus and Halloweentown. I wanted to post places that people can visit that involve the movie. For example, the house that was filmed in Hocus Pocus and a the exact town of Halloweentown that was built for the movie.

Week 6 Part 1

7 businesses that can make great strategic connections: Away Away is a luggage company. With this company I can find more customers and help refer my current customers somewhere great to but new travel luggage/bags. While Away can refer their customers to visit my page to get help with travel plans. Trtl Trtl is a retail company that sells travel pillows. Almost all of my customers will be traveling on plans and this company would be a great company to have a connection with. I can get new customers by connecting with a company and make a deal. I can promote their company and they can promote mine. The Land of Wanderlust  This company offers backpacking in India with a very low budget. This can be a great connection because I can show this to my customers with low budgets as an option when traveling. I can also get new customers by talking ti this companies customers by asking if they wanted help with the plans and other options. Interrail This is a travel agenc...

Week 5: Post Reach and Post Engagement

By definition a post reach is how many people have viewed your post, page, story, etc. Where post engagement are the number of people interacted with your page. For example, liking a post, sharing, and commenting. Knowing the difference between the two are very important. The number of reaches and the number of engagements can show if your page is interesting enough to interact with it or if people are even noticing your page.  If your page has a big gap between reaches and engagements, it could mean that the design of your business website and/or page is not interesting or compelling enough to make the viewer want to stay and like the posts or pages. Having a small gab between reaches and engagements is a good sign that you are the right track when it comes to design and having a compelling page.     If you have a business page on Facebook, the best tool to know if you are on the right track is to see your insights. Using...

Week 4 Post 2

I do not own a business currently but if one day I open up a business, it would be set up as an online business format and if really successful, can open up a building. It would be a travel agency. I would name it  Travel Guardian . This travel agency will help everyone that is getting ready to travel. We would help with many things. For example, booking flights, directions for driving, financials of the trip, where to go, what to watch out for, safety tip, financials, and most importantly how to have fun. I would want this business to help people and make people want to travel more. I don't want people thinking traveling is stressful. Traveling is something everyone should do.     Therefore, for this business, I would need to create my target  market or "Perfect Customer". My business would try to accommodate anyone but our perfect customer would be someone who is financially responsible. They don't need a lot of money and they c...

Week 4 Post 1

The set I decided to go with was Subway and Hungry Bear. Starting with Subway, from what I can see, Subway's target market is more towards young ages going up to mature adult. Even though subway can accommodate to any age, it does seem to change their menu based on what the younger generations favorites tend to be. Now, looking at Hungry Bear's menu, I would say their target market are probably people that love a more old fashioned sandwiches and people that love BBQ. I would say for the most part they target older people and people who love sports.     One obvious difference I found between the two businesses is that Subway is worldwide where Hungry Bear is really only in a small part of California. A smaller difference would be Subway sells more healthier choices of food compared to Hungry Bear. Hungry Bear does sell salads but the rest of their menu isn't that healthy. The similarity I could point out is that ...
